Getting started on your new kitchen journey is simple with our design appointments. Here’s the five key steps of your Wickes design consultation journey.
Step 1 – Book your appointment: Book your kitchen design appointment, either in-store or online and choose a time that suits you to meet with your Design Consultant.
Step 2 – Visit our showroom: Once you’ve booked an appointment, it’s time for a visit to one of our stores. Be sure to spend plenty of time exploring our many kitchen designs and styles to find your perfect match.
We can also come to you and begin your kitchen design with a free home visit.
Step 3 – Meet your Design Consultant: Once you have an idea of what your dream kitchen looks like, it’s time to sit down with your Design Consultant and start bringing it to life. They’ll ask about you, your preferences and your budget before choosing a date for your home measurement.
Step 4 – Measure your space: Your Design Consultant will visit your home to measure your space, as well as understand your needs. Once you’re both happy, you’ll book a second design appointment to finalise your plans.
Step 5 – Bring your kitchen to life: You’ll sit down with your Design Consultant once again when they will give you a virtual tour of your brand-new kitchen, complete with any units, worktops or appliances. Once you’re happy with this, we can discuss one of our kitchen finance options before organising your installation, either with Wickes or a kitchen fitter near you.

Designing a kitchen is all about creating a space which matches your style, as well as your needs. Your kitchen should meet your daily needs, having enough space to freely move around and fit any kitchen appliances whilst also reflecting the architecture of your home.
When convenience is the main priority in a kitchen design, you should focus on storage space and flow, ensuring that your kitchen units are placed in a way that means you can reach items easily. You should also design a kitchen which fits your main appliances in your main space, making accessing your fridge or washing machine as convenient as possible.
All Wickes kitchen design services; including meetings with your Design Consultant and any measuring; are free. You only pay once you’re happy to proceed with your kitchen order.
Yes, whether you’re looking at buying a Wickes Lifestyle Kitchen or prefer a Wickes Bespoke Kitchen design, you can arrange for one of our Design Consultants to visit your home and help you bring your ideas to life.
To ensure your Design Consultant is able to help you as effectively as possible, you should bring an idea of what you want to achieve with your kitchen design, including functional needs and style ideas. However, our Design Consultants are on hand to help if you aren’t sure.
It’s also handy to bring a list of appliances and pieces of furniture which will be part of your kitchen, as well as any measurements. Don’t panic if you don’t have these yet as your Design Consultant will measure your existing kitchen space as part of your home visit.
A Wickes kitchen design appointment typically takes around one hour for the initial consultation with follow-up meetings with your Design Consultant typically taking between one and two hours.
