The Wickes Community Programme

We’ve always been passionate about giving back to our local communities and now we’ve launched the Wickes Community Programme; a dedicated product fund to support local initiatives and organisations from our stores, distribution and support centres.

We want to make a material difference to local groups and organisations taking on key renovation work for community areas.

Open to all local community groups seeking help for improvement projects, you can enquire via your local store or contact us on social media.

We’re giving away £10,000 to one lucky charity organisation or community group to help transform a community space.

Whether it’s the creation of a sensory garden, building a treehouse, updating a kitchen or a well-needed revamp; you can build or update a community space to be proud of.

The competition will be judged by Kimberley Walsh; alongside two other independent judges.

  • Please read the Terms and conditions before entering this competition. By entering this competition you confirm you have read and accept the terms and conditions
  • All entries to be received by 15 July 2022
  • Your entry submission should include a maximum of 500 words on the name of the organisation you represent plus why you should win, what you would like to do to improve your space, what difference will it make and how you would spend the £10,000 prize money
  • You can also attach images or drawings to support your submission. Please ensure you have the consent of anyone who appears in the images you provide
  • Any personal details you supply will only be used for the administration of the competition; in line with our privacy policy.

We are dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals, so we are delighted with the donation from Wickes, which will help us spruce up the new duck house and complete much-needed maintenance to the surrounding fences and pens.

The chickens are so used to children now that they eat out of their hands, and it is lovely to see the interaction. It is a fabulous space and is often enjoyed by both children and their parents as they take them to and from the school.
