How does Pay later in 30 days work?

Pay later in 30 days is a credit product which lets you pay any time within 30 days of your purchase without interest or fees when you pay on time. You can make this payment using a credit or debit card on the Klarna app or logging into www.klarna/com/uk

How does Pay Now work?

Don’t like to wait? Just pay it all at once.

How does Pay in 3 instalments work?

Split your purchase into three payments so you can spread the cost of your purchase over time. Enter the credit or debit card details of your choice and make automatic payments every 30 days.

Klarna will take the first payment when you make the purchase, the second 30 days later and the final payment 60 days from your purchase date. You can see your past and future payments at any time using the Klarna app. No interest or fees when you pay on time.

Will a credit search take place?

When you use Pay Now, Pay in 30 days or Pay in 3 instalments, Klarna will perform a soft credit search. This means Klarna will look at certain information in your credit report to decide whether to approve your purchase. This search is not a full credit check and it will not affect your credit rating or be visible to others.

What does Klarna consider when reviewing my application?

Klarna offers to Pay Now, Pay in 30 days or Pay in 3 instalments based on a number of factors such as the purchase amount, and previous order history. If you are 18 or over, you can improve your chances of being offered Pay now, Pay in 30 days or Pay in 3 instalments by ensuring you provide your full name, accurate address details and arrange shipping to your registered billing address. All orders are assessed individually. Just because you have been accepted for Pay Now, Pay in 30 days or Pay in 3 instalments before does not mean it will be offered for every order. In turn, if your application is denied, it does not mean it will be denied for future orders.

What do I need to provide when I make a purchase?

If you want to purchase something using Klarna’s Pay Now, Pay in 30 days or Pay in 3 instalments, you'll need to share your phone number, email address, current billing address and your credit or debit card details. If Klarna needs to talk to you urgently they'll use the phone number you've shared. For any other information, Klarna need to share with you, they'll send this to your email address.

I have been asked to go to the Klarna site. Is this correct?

If you choose to pay for your order using Pay Now, Pay in 30 days or Pay in 3 instalments, Klarna will send you an email showing you how to pay. The email will have a link you can use to make this payment using your credit or debit card.

Can I pay before the due date?

Yes. Just go to the Klarna app or log onto www.klarna.com/uk.

Is my payment information safe?

Payment information is processed securely by Klarna. No card details are transferred to or held by Wickes. All transactions take place through connections secured with the latest industry standard security protocols.

How do I know Klarna has received my payment?

Klarna will notify you by email and push notification when a payment is due and when you have made or missed a payment. You can always check the status of your order and payments in the Klarna app or by logging in at www.klarna.com/uk.

What happens if I cancel or return my order?

As soon as Wickes has confirmed with Klarna that your cancellation/return has been accepted, Klarna will cancel any future scheduled payments as well as refund any amounts due.

How do I get a refund?

Klarna refunds are processed through our Customer Service team which can be initiated using our contact form - https://www.wickes.co.uk/contactus. All Klarna refunds must be collected via our courier (which will be collected at your cost) and cannot be left in store. This is to ensure you will be correctly refunded to your Klarna account, as the original payment method.

How do I get a refund on Click and Collect Orders

Klarna refunds must be carried out at the same Wickes store where the order was collected from. This is to ensure you will be correctly refunded to your Klarna account, as the original payment method. When returning your purchase, please present your order confirmation email as proof of purchase.

What happens if I don’t pay for my Pay later in 30 days order?

As pay later is a credit product, if you don't pay for your order Klarna may use a debt collection agency. Klarna may also report the missed payment to credit reference agencies. This means you may find it more expensive or difficult to get credit in the future.

What happens if I don’t pay for my Pay in 3 instalments order?

If you don't make your payments you will be in arrears as Pay in 3 is a credit product. Klarna may then share information about your missed payments with credit reference agencies. This means you may find it difficult or more expensive to use Klarna or other lenders' credit products in the future. Klarna may also refer any debt to a debt collection agency. This agency will collect the debt on behalf of Klarna. Also, if the debt is referred to a debt collection agency Klarna will share this information with credit reference agencies.

Are all products available through Klarna?

Klarna payments are available on selected items only. All products that feature the Klarna logo on the product details page are available through Klarna.

Pay later and Pay in 3 Instalments are forms of credit. When you choose Pay later or Pay in 3 Instalments Klarna will perform a soft search with a credit reference agency to check your eligibility. This search is not a full credit check and it will not affect your credit rating or be visible to others. You will, however, be able to see the search.

Wickes is not a lender and acts only as an introducer. Klarna's Pay in 3 / Pay in 30 days are unregulated credit agreements. Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. 18+, UK residents only. Subject to status. You can now use Clearpay at checkout in a selection of our stores as a way to spread the costs of your project even when browsing and buying in-store. The stores you can use Clearpay at are:

Clearpay FAQs

What is Clearpay?

Clearpay is a payment service that lends customers a fixed amount of credit to make purchases instantly and then pay for them in 4 automatic instalments, made every 2 weeks, without any interest (late fees apply). Please use Clearpay responsibly.

The service is provided by Clearpay Finance Ltd. Clearpay Plans are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

How do I use Clearpay?

Clearpay can be used online and in-store. To transact online, just shop on wickes.co.uk a​nd check out as normal. At checkout, choose the Clearpay payment method. You will be directed to the Clearpay website to register and provide payment details (Visa, Mastercard or Amex).

If you’ve used Clearpay before, just log in to your Clearpay account. Then complete your order!

To use Clearpay in-store, simply download the Clearpay mobile app, set up the Clearpay Card, and use the Clearpay Card with Apple Pay or Google Pay to make a contactless payment at check out. You will repay us the amount in 4 instalments.

Who can use Clearpay?

Clearpay is only available to permanent UK residents aged 18+ (excluding Channel Islands) with a UK billing address.

Customers with international billing addresses will not be able to use Clearpay or create a Clearpay account.

How does the Clearpay payment schedule work?

Clearpay will split the total value of your order into 4 instalments payable every fortnight. When transacting online the exact amounts and dates will be displayed for you to agree to before you confirm your purchase. For instore purchases you will receive your payment summary once you have successfully transacted.

If you would like to make additional unscheduled payments before they are due, you may log into your Clearpay account to make your payments early. Clearpay will then adjust the amount owed accordingly.

You can log in to your Clearpay account anytime to view your payment schedule or make a payment before the next due date.

What if I can't pay a Clearpay instalment?

If you cannot make a payment, please contact Clearpay here.

As soon as you miss a payment, Clearpay will immediately stop you from making any further purchases with Clearpay.

Clearpay will give you until 11pm on the following day to make your repayment and then you will incur a late fee if you are still not able to make the payment by then. This will be an initial £6 and a further fee of £6 if the missed payment is not made within 7 days. If your order is less than £24, the total late fee will be £6. If your order is £24 or over, total late fees will not exceed 25% of the total order or £24, whichever is less.

Clearpay debt may be passed to a debt collection agency and this may affect your ability to use Clearpay in the future. We encourage you to use Clearpay responsibly. Please see Clearpay Terms of Service for further details.

When will my items be delivered if I use Clearpay?

Clearpay orders are delivered within our standard delivery timeframes like any order from Wickes.

Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single Clearpay transaction?

Yes, your order value including shipping must be between £1 and £1,500 to use Clearpay. Your maximum order value may be lower depending on factors such as being a new customer or your payment history.

Can I use another form of payment with Clearpay?

At this time, it’s only possible to pay for your order with a single payment method when shopping on wickes.co.uk.

How do I return or exchange an item purchased with Clearpay?

Clearpay purchases follow the Wickes standard return policy for both in-store and online transactions. Check with the Wickes standard return policy to make sure your purchase is eligible for return.

Please note, refunds for Clearpay purchases will be refunded from Merchant Site ​to Clearpay. We cannot provide an exchange or cash refund.

When the refund is processed, any upcoming payments you have to Clearpay will be cancelled and any payments you have already made will be refunded back to the card you paid with. Please note that until the merchant has confirmed the receipt of any return goods, you will be liable to continue to make your payments to Clearpay.

How does Billie work?

Buy today and conveniently pay later within 30 days, allowing you to check your order prior to paying.

Step 1: Log in to your TradePro account.

Step 2: Add all the items you wish to purchase to your basket and progress to the checkout.

Step 3: Select Billie as your payment method, then enter your billing and company information. If eligible, your purchase will be accepted within seconds.

Step 4: Once you complete your order and the items have been collected or dispatched, the invoice will be provided by Billie. Billie will send your payment information via email along with a reminder when it's time to pay.

You will also get access to the Billie Buyer Portal where you can view, download and manage your invoices.

Do I pay any fees when using Buy Now, Pay Later with Billie?

There are no fees for you when using Billie and repaying within the payment terms. Fees may apply for late payments.

How can I pay my outstanding invoice through Billie?

Once you complete your purchase, you’ll receive all your payment information from Billie via email. This will include account information for the bank transfer to pay for your order.

Additionally, you’ll receive access to your personal Billie Buyer Portal where you can view all your Billie invoices and related payment information.

Where can I find my payment confirmation for Billie?

In the Billie Buyer Portal you can download and manage your invoices. Your buyer portal will be updated as soon as you make a payment. Please note that the processing of a payment can take up to three working days. Only after your payment has been successfully issued will the status of the associated invoice be updated. If this process takes more than three business days, please contact Billie customer service.

You may receive a payment reminder if you make your transfer shortly before or after the due date. Once we have received the payment in our system, the payment reminder process will be automatically deactivated.

How do I receive my invoice?

Once you complete your order and the items have been collected or dispatched, the invoice will be provided by Billie.

Your invoice is sent to you by email, to the email address provided during the purchase, together with the payment instructions. It is also available to download via the Billie Buyer Portal.

What are the payment terms when paying with Billie?

When purchasing with Billie, you have 30 days to pay for your order.

What is the Billie Buyer Portal?

Once the purchase is complete, you will receive access to your Billie Buyer Portal, where you will be able to view and download all your Billie invoices.

Will a credit search or credit check take place?

Billie is able to offer higher credit limits to TradePro customers. To do this a credit check is carried out at the time of purchase to support the decision for approval.

What does Billie consider when reviewing my application?

If you decide to pay with Billie, a credit check is carried out to see if the order can be accepted for the requested amount. This check is based on general company identification information such as address and company name and primarily on payment history, invoice amount and (if applicable) external information from credit agencies. These factors determine whether payment can be approved. If Billie is not accepted, then another payment method needs to be selected to complete the order.

If you are self-employed, or companies with a legal form covering self-employment, the information is not always verifiable with credit agencies. In this case, after selecting Billie as the method of payment, select ‘Unregistered Sole Trader/Business’ and enter your first and last name.

Billie’s AI-powered risk models facilitate real-time credit approval before you can complete your order.

Conditions for purchase with Billie for TradePro customers are set by the provider, Billie GmbH.

Any outstanding payments with Klarna for Wickes orders will continue and need to be settled with Klarna in the normal way.
