FAQs:
How do you bleed a radiator?
Bleeding a radiator is a straightforward process, as long as you have the right tools and know-how. All you need to do is switch off your radiator, insert your radiator key and turn it anticlockwise, allowing the air to be released. For the full instructions, discover our guide on how to bleed a radiator.
How do you turn on a radiator’s heat?
To turn on your radiator’s heat, first locate the control valve which is usually near the bottom. It looks like a small, rounded cap. You’ll then want to twist it anticlockwise as much as possible. If you’re turning on a steam radiator, the valve is located on top of the pipe leading to the radiator.
How do you bleed radiators without a key?
If you don’t have a key to bleed your radiator, you can opt for a wrench or spanner to turn the valve instead.
