What is gravel?
Gravel refers to a mixture of rock fragments and small stones, commonly used in driveways, paths, for drainage purposes and in concrete.
How much gravel do I need?
This depends on the type and scale of your project. You can calculate the exact amount by measuring the length × width × depth of the area you’re working on to find out the volume.
How do you clean gravel?
The easiest way to clean gravel is to remove any leaves and debris using a rake, pull out or spray weeds with a suitable killer, and then spray the gravel with a hose or pressure washer for a standard clean. When deep cleaning gravel, we recommend shovelling the gravel onto a mesh screen and rinsing it. Always let it dry before you return it to its place.
How do you clean garden stones?
Keeping your garden stones in great condition is easy. Simply remove any weeds, leaves or dirt with a rake or firm brush, hose the stones to wash off top-level grime, and then use a pressure washer on any stubborn areas. If you come across any stains, try scrubbing them with warm water and mild detergent before rinsing thoroughly and letting them dry before you return them to their home.
What is aggregate for the garden?
Aggregate refers to materials like crushed stone, decorative chips and gravel designed for landscaping.
How much aggregate will I need?
This depends on the size of the area you’re adding it to. You can work out the exact amount using the calculation: length × width × depth.
How many slate chippings do I need?
To understand how many slate chippings you need for your space, simply times the length, width and depth together for the volume.
