FAQs
How do you clean ceramic floor tiles?
To clean your ceramic floor tiles, start by sweeping and hoovering them before mopping them with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Finish off by drying them with a microfibre cloth to get rid of any streaks and create a lovely sheen.
How do you lift ceramic floor tiles?
The best way to lift ceramic tiles is by removing the grout using a grout saw or rotary tool, before gently loosening the tiles using a chisel or pry bar. To make it easier, we recommend starting from an edge or broken tile. Lift each tile carefully if you’re planning on recycling them.
Can I put ceramic tiles on a wooden floor?
Yes – it’s possible to install ceramic tiles on top of a wooden floor, but you’ll need to properly prepare your surface first. The wooden floor needs to be stable, clean and dry, ready for tiling. If you’re unable to achieve this, try using a cement backer board or a plywood sheet for a level foundation.
