What tools do I need for tiling?

There are a few essential tools required for tiling, including a cutter, trowel, spacers, spirit level, measuring tape, pencil or marker, bucket and sponge and nippers. There are also some handy extras to make the job easier, such as squeegees, a grout and sealant smoother and a suction cup to lift and level tiles into position. Can an oscillating tool cut tile?

Not exactly – an oscillating tool can replace a tile nipper, but it can’t fully cut tiles the same way a manual tile cutter or wet tile saw can.

Can you use a multi-tool to remove tiles?

Yes – a multi-tool can remove tiles. We recommend using it at a low to medium speed, loosening the tiles so you can lift them.
