Can you screw into wood filler?
While it’s possible to screw into hard-setting wood filler, it should only be done for lighter tasks. If for load-bearing purposes, we recommend only drilling into the surrounding wood or using the filler alongside a wood plug or dowel for extra strength.
Can you stain wood filler?
Yes, but this should be done the caution as fillers don’t absorb stains the same way that natural wood does, potentially leading to an uneven finish.
