Instantaneous water heaters 

These are compact and powerful, heating water on demand as it flows through the unit. This ensures you never run out of hot water.

Instantaneous water heaters include compact electric handwash units and powerful multi-point units which allow for larger capacities.

What are water heaters used for?

Water heaters provide hot water supply directly to a sink, basin or shower without relying on the main central heating boiler. They're ideal for outbuildings, loft conversions, garden offices, or utility rooms where extending hot water pipework from the main boiler is impractical and expensive.

What are the different types of water heaters?

The two main types of water heaters are stored water heaters (which heat and store water in an insulated tank) and instantaneous water heaters (that heat cold water instantly as it passes through the unit). They also come in over sink and under sink options depending on your available space.

What is an electric water heater?

An electric water heater uses electrical heating elements to heat water locally at the point of use. They’re connected directly to your mains electricity supply and cold-water pipework to offer an efficient, boiler-free way for hot water supply. 

Do electric water heaters use a lot of electricity?

While heating water does require power, modern electric water heaters are highly insulated to minimise heat loss, and many models carry and "A" ERP energy rating. 

Instantaneous models only draw electricity while the tap is running, so you only pay for the hot water you use.
