FAQs
How to measure for internal French doors?
To ensure your internal French door is fitted snug, you should take the following measurements:
- Width Measurement:
- Measure the width of the door frame from the inside edges of the door jambs (the vertical sides of the frame). Take measurements at the top, middle, and bottom of the frame.
- Use the smallest measurement as your width to ensure the doors fit without rubbing against the frame.
- Height Measurement:
- Measure the height of the door frame from the floor to the top of the frame. Take measurements on both sides and at the centre.
- Use the shortest measurement to determine the height of the doors.
- Thickness Measurement:
- Measure the thickness of the door frame to determine the thickness of the doors needed. Standard internal French doors typically have a thickness of around 35-40mm.
